Fusion Peewee Select Take Silver at Fusion Fall Frenzy
The select team played their hearts out at the Fusion Fall Frenzy tournament.
The team started out with 2 losses on Saturday, putting them in the position they would have to win their game Sunday morning by 2 goals in order to advance. They ended up winning their game against Ancaster by 3 goals allowing them to advance to the Semi-Finals. They played the Halton Hills Thundar in the Semis with the 3rd period ending in a 5-5 tie. Therefore a shoot out was required to decide the winner. Evan Harper from the Fusion got the only goal in the shoot out with Nathan Devries, the Fusion goalie, stopping all 3 shots from the Thundar's players. So the Fusion were on to the finals with a 6-5 win. The Fusion played a great game against the Barrie Colts with the final score being 3-1 for the Colts. Great tournament Fusion!!
