Your fees breakdown into a few main categories depending on age group:

  • Association Fees
  • Insurance & Rostering Fees (set by OMHA/ OHF/ Hockey Canada)
  • Jerseys (if applicable)
  • Additional Development (if applicable)
  • and mainly: ICE!

Association Fees include many different behind the scenes costs, including but not limited to:

  • Banking fees, website hosting fee, yearly accounting review, commercial & legal insurance, year end association awards, staff honorariums and assignor fees, year end team sponsorship, association-owned goalie equipment upkeep/ replacement, coach and trainer course reimbursement, coach and trainer insurance and membership fees.. Ice costs account for more than 60% of the registration fee.  We are very thankful for The Township of Centre Wellington’s Minor Sports Rate as it plays a significant role in helping us keep our fees as low as we possibly can.

Outstanding Balance

If you have an outstanding balance from a previous season, you MUST pay the balance owing prior to registration.

Volunteering

Each season, each age group and team requires the assistance of coaches, trainers, managers, and on-ice helpers.  We would not be able to run such a great program without these volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer with our association please contact the appropriate director, or fill in the questionnaire during registration:

Vulnerable Sector Check

Every volunteer is required to have a Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last three years.  There is no cost as a volunteer to have this completed.  Please reach out to Aaron Macdonald ([email protected]) for more information.

Season Schedule

The schedule will not be available until late August or early September. We understand this can make it difficult to plan other activities for your child, and we truly appreciate your patience. With the large number of players and teams, as well as coordination with coaches, venues, and league requirements, there are many moving parts that need to align.

In addition, please be aware that at the beginning of the season, there may be last minute changes to the schedule.  Please ensure you stay up to date via our website Calendar, or find a specific team through our website’s Team Finder.

Registration

Documents

Note that CWMHA is obligated to obtain proof of birthdate (birth certificate, health card) and proof of address (parent driver's license) for all new registrations.  Please upload these to Spordle or email these to [email protected] once the player profile has been created.  If you are able to upload these documents directly to your player profile within the Spordle database, you do not need to email these to the registrar.

New to Hockey Canada?
Respect In Sport - Parent

The Respect in Sport: Parent program must be completed by one parent. This is an online program that takes approximately one hour to complete at a cost of $12. If you have already completed this program for another player, you do not need to complete this again. Your certificate number must be linked to the new player's profile.  Instructions can be found here: Respect in Sport: Link Instructions

New to CWMHA, but have played hockey in another centre?

Please ensure you do not make a second profile for any player when registering with us.  Once registered, please email [email protected] for additional documentation that may need to be completed in order to ensure a smooth start in the fall.

2025-2026 Registration

We encourage all families to register as soon as possible in order to allow us to effectively plan the 2025-2026 season.

CWMHA reserves the right to close registration at any time after September 1 for the purpose of team and division balancing.  A waitlist may be available depending on team and ice time viability.

We strongly recommend the use of a laptop or PC for ease of navigation of the registration process.
If you run into any issues in the registration process, please reach out to Kristen ([email protected]) for assistance
