🚨 IMPORTANT: VSC / SCREENING REQUIREMENTS – 2026–27 SEASON 🚨, News (Centre Wellington Minor Hockey)

The OHF has released updated screening requirements for the 2026–27 season. Please review carefully:

✅ WHO NEEDS A VSC?

• Any NEW individual participating in Spring Evaluations must have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed before participating.

• Individuals not rostered in 2025–26 must:

  • Have a valid VSC

  • Be registered and added to the 2026–27 roster

🔁 RETURNING VOLUNTEERS

• If you completed a VSC in 2024 or 2025:

  • ✔️ Only the online declaration is required

• If your VSC is from 2023 (expiring May 31, 2026):

  • ⚠️ You must complete a NEW VSC + declaration

🗓️ IMPORTANT DATES

• April 1, 2026 – OHF submission portal opens

• May 31, 2026 – Current declarations expire

• April 1 – July 30, 2026 – ❌ Receipts will NOT be accepted

⏳ DON’T WAIT

• Police processing can take 6–8 weeks

• Start your VSC ASAP to avoid being ineligible

📌 SPRING EVALUATIONS

• Returning approved roster members (2025–26): ✔️ eligible

• New participants: ❗ must complete VSC + declaration first

• All participants must be registered in HCR
