Scholarship Applications
Centre Wellington Minor Hockey is currently accepting submissions for two incredible scholarships: the Jeff Snowe Memorial Scholarship and the Terry Conroy Memorial Scholarship.

Scholarships Available

Jeff Snowe Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was created to honour our beloved father, husband, son, and brother.  Jeff passed away suddenly on Match 28, 2023, at 55 years of age.  Jeff played hockey for Fergus Minor Hockey as a child and continued to be involved with the CWMHA throughout adulthood.  He loved being on the ice with his sons and their teammates.  Jeff also believed in the importance of education.  He especially valued learning practical skills and pursuing a trade.  This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating U18-born local league or representative player.  The successful candidate will demonstrate good sportsmanship, leadership skills, and be a strong team player.  Proof of registration to university or college will be required.  Please submit a short essay to CWMHA explaining why you would be the best choice for this scholarship.

Terry Conroy Memorial Scholarship

The game of hockey was important to Terry. He felt strongly about the on-ice experiences and enjoyment of the game. Terry also recognized the importance of a good education. CWMHA established this annual scholarship in his honour, awarded to a graduating U18 player that is continuing onto post-secondary education.  The successful candidate must also demonstrate good sportsmanship, great teamwork, community involvement and be a graduating U18 Local League or Representative player.

Essay applications will be reviewed by the CWMHA Board reps, along with the Conroy family.

CWMHA invites all written essay applications be sent to Christine Cook, President.  The deadline for both scholarships is April 1, 2024.  For more information, please contact Christine Cook: [email protected]
