Important Notice on Updated Facility Protocols
Submitted By Brandy Swain on Fri 10 30, 20
CW Fusion Membership,

The CWMHA executive would like to share updates in regards to our Return to Play. Our traditional season has been quite modified this year to provide a safe return to hockey with the safety of our players and volunteers always being our priority.

All families will be receiving an email from your coach in regards to updates to the Facility Protocols in Centre Wellington. This information will also be available on the CW website, and the Township website as well. Please take the time to read through the documents carefully. Important information specifically related to the time change on entry protocols is noted. We all need to work together and follow all procedures.

Please respect all individuals at our facilities and follow all protocols and rules from the Township of Centre Wellington and WDG Health Unit and CWMHA. These measures are all in place for everyone’s well being.

Programming this season is modified play for all of our players. Our mandate was to get as many of our registrants on the ice , following all mandated protocols as set out by the Ontario Hockey Federation. Please realize this was no easy task for our divisional conveners. Negative comments to the process and those volunteering in CW are not welcome or appropriate.  Respect is the centre of our community and our organization.

HOCKEY is different this year.  Together we must make the best of the situation for the participants. Please focus on the fun of playing hockey, and making new teammates and friends. Our goal remains to deliver a modified program in a safe environment.

NOTE FROM CW TOWNSHIP

Township staff and minor sport volunteers have worked together to ensure minor sports can continue to be delivered in Centre Wellington by standardizing protocols for our community centres.  The goal is to ensure consistency and help everyone understand the rules.

Most parents understand and respect the protocols put into place. However, we have had parents and guardians show disrespect to the Township COVID-19 Facility Protocols.

These include;

Ø  Swearing and verbal abuse to Township staff and Minor Sport volunteers

Ø  Parents/guardians arriving at the facility with outside food and drink

Ø  Participants and parents/guardians showing up late for their ice time and knocking on the rink doors to gain entry

Please see updated COVID-19 Facility Protocols, highlighted in red are the changes that will take effect as of Monday November 2nd, 2020.

Just a reminder:

·         Arrive and leave FULLY dressed

·         Effective November 2nd-Arrive 30 minutes BEFORE rental (door will be LOCKED 15 minutes before rental) *NO LATE ENTRY*

·         Arrive with your water bottle FULL

·         MASKS are MANDATORY

·         NO outside food or drink

·         PLEASE BE KIND to staff and volunteers

This is a reminder to parents, guardians and participants that facility protocols need to be followed or your minor sport groups’ ice will be in jeopardy of being cancelled.
